The distinguished location of El Sheikh Abdullah El-Badri University, centred in the heart of the Nile River State in the city of Berber, gives the university shine and distinction. The city of Berber is an authentic historical city with a character dominated by Sufism, religiosity, and adherence to heritage and authenticity. It is also full of modern agricultural and industrial projects. The city of Berber is located 40 kilometres north of the city of Atbara, which has large industrial institutions such as the railway, the Presidency of Urban Water in the state, electricity, and cement factories. It is also located 53 kilometres from the state capital, the city of Al-Damar. All of this has a major contribution to making the Faculty of Engineering at El Sheikh Abdullah El-Badri University a real addition to the university system in the hospitable River Nile State, as the faculty supplies the local and national labour market with competent and distinguished graduates in the fields of electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering and other engineering fields.
This modern faculty is a distinguished part of the engineering educational system that was founded and supervised by the venerable sheikh, Sheikh Abdullah Sheikh Al-Badri – may God blessed his soul. He is a man who loved his profession, its quality and refinement, and then he culminated in giving the wealth of his knowledge and experience to his students, keepers and craftsmen, by establishing vocational training and industrial apprenticeship programs to graduate skilled workers. So God blessed his efforts, and the craftsmanship workshop became a technical college, and then it bore fruit by becoming a university housing various faculties and sciences on its campus.
The Faculty of Engineering undertakes to graduate specialists in various fields of engineering, thereby contributing to the completion of the workforce pyramid in the state with the presence of specialists, technicians and skilled workers. The most important thing that is mentioned here is the distinguished infrastructure that is spread over wide and spacious areas and is prepared to receive and apply science, combined with the facilitating equipment, mechanisms and high technology that abounds in the faculties’ workshops and laboratories. |
