Department of Biomedical Engineering

The Department of Biomedical Engineering was accredited by the National Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2023.

The Faculty of Engineering is considered a distinguished part of the engineering educational system that founded and supervised since its inception by the venerable Sheikh, El Sheikh Abdullah El Sheikh Al-Badri, may God rest his soul. He is a man who loved his profession, its quality and refinement. This then culminated in the establishment of vocational training and apprenticeship programmes for the Holy Quran memorizers. Then it evolved to become a technical college and then to El Sheikh Abdullah El-Badri University, which has a significant number of Faculties in various fields. The Faculty of Engineering includes a group of engineering departments including (Electrical Engineering –  Civil Engineering – Mechanical Engineering). The Faculty  keeps pace with the needs and requirements of the labour market at the national and local state levels, especially with regard to preparing medical engineering cadres and hospital management systems Which pertained to all medical fields, it was necessary to add the Department of Biomedical Engineering to represent a real addition to the faculty and university to supply and meet the needs of the labour market with specialized cadres in the field of biomedical engineering. Medical engineering arose with the development of modern medicine and is considered one of the latest engineering sciences that is based on applying principles of electrical, mechanical, electronic, chemical, biological and other engineering specializations to understand, change, and control vital systems in addition to design and manufacturing products that can monitor, diagnose and help treat patients’.
